About The Role

 

As a Managing Director, you’ll be a part of the company’s Executive Leadership team. All company leaders must be dynamic, outgoing, self-starters, sales oriented, organized, able to delegate well, execute at a high-performance level, and ready for constant change. In addition, leadership candidates must have previous consulting, accounting, or auditing experience. In this role, you’ll report directly to the CEO.  

 

What You'll Do

 

You’ll manage multiple clients and Company Directors. Your project teams will be accountable for the day-to-day operations and project deliverables with oversight from Directors and support and guidance throughout the project from you. In addition, some of the primary responsibilities will require you to build a book of work by working closely with clients and industry leaders to understand their challenges. You will have the authority to decide or recommend critical personnel decisions related to company strategy, hiring, and performance management. The position requires the exercise of discretion and independent judgment for matters significant to the company and specific client engagements.

 

A successful candidate will have a deep and concrete understanding of the Risk and Compliance landscape in the financial services space, a desire to drive towards industry-beating levels of quality, and an innovative mindset to recommend process and technology improvements. 

 

The candidate for this role is an industry expert with direct relations with executives at CCOs, CROs, and General Counsels levels. 

 

The ideal candidate should be transparent, fair, and collaborative and never be afraid to delegate and put trust in their teams. 

Your Responsibilities

 

  • Effectively manage existing client relationships to enhance client satisfaction.

  • Successfully integrate industry initiatives with business strategy

  • Provide technical expertise in the areas of regulations, market practices, trends, economic factors, risk identification, and process improvement recommendations

  • Assist in the recruiting and development of qualified advisory services individuals utilizing the defined process

  • Attract substantial new fintech and crypto clients, strategic buyers, and similar organizations

  • Significantly expand the number of portfolio companies for which the firm provides annuity-type services.

  • Manage engagement economics (i.e., realization, utilization, leverage, accounts receivable, and expenses).

  • Become the alternative in the marketplace to the Big 4 for Risk and Compliance services to these entities and the premier firm focused on Compliance Technology

  • Implement the standard service methodology for services offered to clients, including traditional arrangements, deliverables, documentation standards, and quality control procedures

  • Understand the capabilities of StrategyBRIX and assist in developing a more comprehensive array of services

  • Stay current with industry developments and trends to enhance your business acumen

 

Minimum Requirements

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration or an MBA/MS in Accounting

  • At least ten years of progressive experience in consulting services, financial services, public accounting, or equivalent

  • Technical expertise is essential

  • Demonstrated new business development experience required.

  • Experience in a medium- to large-sized public accounting firm.

  • Strong leadership, business development, recruiting, training, coaching, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.

  • Deep understanding of compliance frameworks and processes related to BSA/AML, economic sanctions, and risk assessments
