About The Role
 

As a senior associate, you’ll begin to develop specialized knowledge and manage significantly larger and more complex areas within the Risk and Compliance space. You’ll work closely with clients to understand their challenges, create strategies for change, win buy-in for your recommendations, and collaborate with fellow consultants to transform client potential into performance. 

 

As a member of our team, you’ll work alongside some of the industry’s top minds on cases that reshape businesses of tomorrow. You’ll collaborate on challenging projects with team members from many backgrounds and areas of specialism, increasing your understanding of complex business problems from diverse perspectives and developing new skills and experience to help you at every stage of your career.


Consulting work is varied and rigorous, much of it performed at our client sites. Projects can vary in length, size, and location, depending on the client’s challenge. Because our clients operate all over the world, you may travel internationally.

 

What You'll Do
 

The right person for this role is an enthusiastic early-stage professional or recent grad with prior experience working in a compliance, legal, technology, or audit related capacity. You will be given opportunities to work on problems outside your comfort zone, but will also have access to support and guidance to achieve your day-to-day objectives and help with your development within the industry.

 

A successful candidate will have a keen interest in new technologies and innovation, with an attitude that includes a questioning mind to understand the what, why, and how behind these technologies.

 

The candidate for this role is instinctively curious, challenges the status quo, and is motivated by driving continuous improvements to systems and processes. You will be provided with a unique opportunity to have direct exposure to many exciting companies and their unique products, where you will need to apply your knowledge to develop relevant solutions for the clients. 

Your Responsibilities
 

  • Work on a variety of client engagements delivering high-quality products and advisory services to address their needs

  • Analyze and evaluate client policies, procedures, and processes to assess compliance with applicable regulatory guidelines and industry standards

  • Define financial crime compliance programs for clients, such as developing governance and procedures as well as implementing and operationalizing these processes for clients

  • Apply independent judgment to solve complex problems supported by qualitative and/or quantitative analysis

  • Contribute to internal initiatives, including product development, business development, and other strategic initiatives

  • Stay current with industry developments and trends to enhance your business acumen

 

Minimum Requirements
 

  • Minimum three (3) years of experience with a financial institution or consulting firm in a compliance, legal, technology, or audit-related role

  • Understanding of compliance frameworks and processes related to BSA/AML, economic sanctions and risk assessments

  • Cross-functional experience, working across a variety of teams including (but not limited to) sales, marketing, business development, and technology

  • Experience leading and managing clients or senior stakeholders with a high degree of accountability and confidence

  • Strong written communication skills 

  • Strong analytical skills with an intuition to identify different approaches to solving complex problems

  • Adaptable and enjoy the challenge of a dynamic consulting environment where you work on varied projects

 

Preferred Qualification
 

  • Prior experience in a compliance, legal, technology, or audit-related area

  • Knowledge of payments, fintechs and crypto;

  • Database (SQL, noSQL, etc.) or development experience (Python, JS, etc.)

  • Proficiency of Google Suite
