About The Role

As a Director, you’ll apply your specialized knowledge to provide thought leadership across broad financial crime components within the Risk and Compliance space. You will be well experienced with a diverse set of frameworks, which you can advocate for your clients to bring best-in-class solutions to their problems. You will have experience developing and presenting solutions to senior leadership ensuring that the firm's services and capabilities are aligned with their needs and goals.

 

You’ll be responsible for overseeing multiple client engagements and ensuring that they are delivered successfully. You’ll be managing teams and ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to deliver high-quality work. You’ll also be responsible for managing relationships with clients, building strong partnerships, and ensuring that the firm is meeting their expectations. You will manage the relationships of your clients and work closely with the senior leaders to develop and implement strategies for growth and development.

Consulting work is varied and rigorous, much performed at our client sites. Depending on the client's challenge, projects can vary in length, size, and location. Because our clients operate all over the world, you may travel internationally.

 

What You'll Do

The right person for this role has an eye for detail, is obsessed with quality processes and outcomes, and values efficiency. In this position, you will be responsible for working closely with decision-makers at our clients, including C-Suite, and driving your projects and teams to solve various complex problems related to Risk and Compliance. 

 

A successful candidate will have a concrete understanding of the Risk and Compliance landscape in the financial services space, a desire to drive towards industry-beating levels of quality, and an innovative mindset to recommend process and technology improvements. 

 

The candidate for this role is instinctively curious, challenges the status quo, and is motivated by driving continuous improvements to systems and processes. You will be given a unique opportunity to have direct exposure to many exciting companies and their unique products. In addition, you must apply your knowledge to develop relevant solutions for the clients. 

 

The ideal candidate should also be bold in delegating, educating, and putting trust in the project teams. We want employees at all levels to feel empowered and have project responsibilities.

Your Responsibilities

  • Leading and managing multiple client engagements, including overseeing the delivery of services and ensuring that they are delivered on time and within budget

  • Define and manage project plans to structure engagements effectively and efficiently 

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, acting as the primary point of contact, and ensuring that their needs and expectations are met

  • Providing strategic direction and guidance to teams of consultants, and ensuring that they are properly trained and equipped to deliver high-quality work

  • Define financial crime compliance programs for clients, such as developing governance and procedures as well as implementing and operationalizing these processes for clients

  • Apply independent judgment to solve complex problems supported by qualitative and quantitative analysis

  • Developing and implementing strategies for growth and development, and working with the firm's senior leaders to drive the success of the firm

  • Identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including developing proposals, presenting to potential clients, negotiating contracts, and other strategic initiatives

  • Stay current with industry developments and trends to enhance your business acumen

 

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum eight (8) years of experience with a financial institution or consulting firm in a compliance, legal, technology, or audit-related role

  • Expertise across several compliance frameworks and processes related to BSA/AML, economic sanctions, and risk assessments

  • Cross-functional experience, working across a variety of teams, including (but not limited to) sales, marketing, business development, and technology

  • Experience in interpreting, advising, and applying legal, regulatory, and policy requirements and/or control standards

  • Ability to both grasp the big picture and have rigorous attention to detail

  • Ability to influence a diverse group of stakeholders, and demonstrate strong collaboration skills across the organization

  • Experience leading and managing clients or senior stakeholders with a high degree of accountability and confidence

  • Experience with developing, mentoring, leading, and managing teams

  • Strong written communication skills

  • Strong analytical skills with intuition to identify different approaches to solving complex problems

  • Adaptable and enjoy the challenge of a dynamic consulting environment where you work on varied projects
     

Preferred Qualification

  • Knowledge of payments, fintechs, and crypto;

  • Knowledge of FCC systems;

  • Knowledge of no-code platforms;

  • Database (SQL, NoSQL, etc.) or development experience (Python, JS, etc.)

  • Proficiency in Google Suite

  • Compliance training/teaching experience;

  • CAMS or CFE certification or any other compliance-related courses
